Terms of service

Last updated: January 2026

Agreement

These terms govern your use of the impactaiinstitute.org website and any informational interactions with Impact AI Institute. If you become a paying client, a separate written services agreement will set the terms of that engagement; that agreement controls if it conflicts with anything here.

Use of the site

You may use this site for lawful business purposes, to learn about our services, request a discovery call, or access a client portal you've been granted. You agree not to:

  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portal, account, or data.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or overload the site.
  • Upload anything malicious or unlawful through any form on the site.

Intellectual property

The site's content, including copy, graphics, logos, and structure, is owned by Impact AI Institute or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. You may share links and short excerpts with attribution, but you may not reproduce substantial portions of the site without written permission.

For client engagements, ownership of the AI tools, prompts, skills, and software your team builds with us is governed by your services agreement. Our default position is simple: you own what we build with you.

Discovery calls and inquiries

Booking a discovery call is free and creates no obligation on either side. Anything you share with us in that conversation is treated as confidential and used only to assess fit and scope.

Client portals

Some areas of this site are restricted to authenticated clients. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access by emailing welcome@impactaiinstitute.org.

No professional advice

Content on this site is general information about our approach to AI implementation. It is not legal, accounting, or individualized professional advice for your business. Decisions you make from reading the site are your own.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Impact AI Institute disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site. Our aggregate liability for anything related to the site is limited to CAD $100. Different liability limits may apply under a signed services agreement.

Third-party services

We use third-party providers to operate parts of the site (such as Calendly for scheduling and Resend for email). Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply when you interact with them through us.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version takes effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba, Canada, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there.
